WHAT IS ZION KIDS?
Zion Kids is the children's program at Zion Baptist Community Church. It's a place where kids:
- Experience the teachings and stories of the Bible
- Grow in knowledge and understanding of God
- Nurture a lifelong transforming relationship with God
- Experience community
A TYPICAL SUNDAY Street 2:52 (9:30 am)
Drop off: 9:25 am to 9:35 am - Children can be dropped off and signed in at the Chapel. Children in Preschool & Kindergarten must be signed in by a parent/guardian. Children in Grades 1 & 2 must be dropped off by a parent/guardian.
Pick Up: 10:30 am - Children in Preschool & Kindergarten must be signed out by a parent/guardian. Children in Grades 1 & 2 must be picked up by a parent/guardian. Older children will be dismissed to find their own families.
JR. ZIONERS (during 10:45 am worship service)
10:45 am - Children will join their families for the singing portion of the main service. Children in Preschool and Kindergarten will be invited to Jr. Zioners from the service. Children in Grades 1 to 6 will remain in the service with their families, while working on their sermon binders. The first Sunday of the month is an All Together Service and there is no Jr. Zioners.
Sermon Binders: Available for Grade 1-Grade 6 every Sunday. The materials in the sermon binders will pertain to the sermon and/or the Street 2:52 lesson that Sunday. Sermon binders will be available for preschool and kindergarten-aged children for our All Together Services.
Drop Off: 11:15 am (or at the time of dismissal from service) - Children will be brought upstairs, through the Toddler Room by their parents and signed in there. Children in Preschool & Kindergarten must be signed in by a parent/guardian.
Pick Up: 12 pm (or when service has finished) - Children in Preschool & Kindergarten must be signed out by a parent/guardian.
TODDLER ROOM (during 10:45 am worship service)
Our Toddler Room is for Children 1-3 years old and runs every Sunday morning during the 10:45 worship service upstairs in the Upper Room. There is also a Parent's Information Group Page to stay in the loop with what is happening in this ministry (visit here).
COMMUNION SUNDAYS
On the first Sunday of every month, there will be no Street 2:52 or Jr. Zioners. Our entire church will worship together.

A 4-WEEK SERIES FROM THE GOSPELS ON JESUS’ MIRACLES
SERIES OVERVIEW:
Whether it’s a rocket car powered by soda and mints or a tornado in a water bottle, there’s so much in our world that can fill us with awe. The world of STEM is full of things that look like little miracles, but they’re nothing compared to the miracles God can perform. In this four-week series, kids will take a look at some of the miracles that Jesus performed during his ministry. Through stories showing the power of Jesus, they’ll no doubt go, Wow! Jesus has the power to heal, to calm our fears, to provide, and to save.

KEEPING YOUR KIDS SAFE PLAN TO PROTECT
Our kids program follows strict safety guidelines to keep our kids and volunteers safe. All volunteers must be screened and trained before working with our children.
All children must be registered to attend our programs. Register your children for the 2024-25 ministry year here.

PRESCHOOL - GRADE 2
Special procedures are in place to take care of our youngest students. This age group:
- Must be signed in and out of all sessions by a parent/guardian for Children in Preschool & Kindergarten.
- Must be dropped off and picked up by a parent/guardian for Children in Grades 1 & 2.
- Children in Preschool - Kindergarten will require parent assistance for washroom breaks.
